My Dear Reader is a blog where I discuss education, parenting, life. I also provide book reviews for young adult novels.
My Dear Reader
My great loves include my family, teaching, reading voraciously, teaching reading and writing, horses, collecting misfit pets, and doing my best to encourage young people to embrace their potential and to fully live their lives. As my head seethes with ideas, many of which folks tell me are good, I
have decided to start a blog which will open a discourse on education,
youth and the future they will face.
Fun Class Projects

Drama encourages kids to try on new skins, to develop their confidence, and to learn that they can play a critical role in making something magical. They learn that collaborating, they can do more than they could ever do individually.
My Science Fiction Club
Junior high students from the Science Fiction Club turned an old cabinet into a TARDIS reading and writing center-because reading can and writing can take you anywhere.
