Kim Porter is a teacher with over twenty years experience in a variety of settings, from preschool to college. Currently she teaches Junior High English, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, at a suburban parochial school in Ohio. In addition to classroom teaching, she has created and runs a literary club and a science fiction club in order to encourage students in their love of reading and writing. She also helps to run the school Drama Club, and she has been the production director for 14 youth musicals.  She earned her BA in English from Oberlin College and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Marshall University.  Her awards and honors include Diocesan Teacher of Excellence and Ohio Teacher of the Year Nominee. 

Kim Porter lives with her family, three horses, two dogs, two cats, and whatever rodents the cats drag in. Her hobbies include, reading, writing, crafting, horses, walking, and generally being in nature.
